I am in the process of developing a Wordpress blog especially directed to help designers and design enthusiasts. I found a cheap web host which has a built-in plugin called Fantastico which allows you to easily install WordPress. Super easy and you don't pay extra for that. I found this promo code for $9.94 off : cheap web hosting: BLOGHOST1212. But still get your domain name from godaddy.
A very nice post, indeed web hosting is the primary constituent when you are starting a website. People rarely care about the web hosts but it is one of the most important parameter in the performance of website. I appreciate your post with such informative material. I just subscribed to your post and awaiting for more good posts on web hosting over the coming days. Thanks

I love GoDaddy, the domains are cheap and it's easy to set everything up. This is a great place to reg your domains. Wordpress is nice too for blogs and people just getting started.

I agree that GoDaddy is the best place get the domains and webhosting. However, I noticed that they were bundled with Google Adwords credits now and there is fine print below which stated that the credit are only valid for US citizens. Not sure if it is true. For me, I have no choice but to play safe and opt for Dotster instead, because I am not sure if google allows me to use Adwords for my website according to their policy.

Thanks so much for the input here. I have used GoDaddy for some of our sites but feel that spreading them around is a good strategy.
